Christmas at the Holbrook House!

We had an amazing Christmas this year. The girls are old enough now to know and understand the meaning of Christmas and were so excited to celebrate the birth of our Savior and for Santa to come. It was so fun to see the excitement in our girls' faces when they walked into the family room and saw that Santa had eaten their cookies and drank the milk they had left for him. Their eyes would widen and mouths would drop after each present was opened. We loved it!!!

SURPRISE GETAWAY!

Joe orchestrated a surprise getaway for my birthday! He had his brother Brett come up from L.A. to watch the kids and we took off and had a wonderful weekend away full of Christmas shopping, movies, and good eatin. Who doesn't love that? Joe has been truly amazing and has made my 30th birthday last the whole month of December. Turning 30 isn't so bad!!!

BALLET PERFORMANCE!

Madison had her ballet performance "Candyland" last weekend. Her ballet class performed a routine called "Cotten Candy". Joe's mom was able to come and visit and see her performance as well. It was fun to have her here since we hadn't seen her in over a year.

SUPRISE 30TH BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!

After Madison's birthday party on Saturday my husband Joe and my sister-n-law Jen through my twin brother, Gary and I a surprise 30th birthday party. It was sooooooo much fun. Lots of family and friends showed up to help us celebrate. We had a sit down dinner and Jen organized some fun trivia games to see how well our family and friends know us. It was fun to reminisce the good times. It was such an amazing night and I feel extremely grateful for my husband and Jen to have arranged such a wonderfully fun evening. It truly makes me feel blessed for the family I have in my life.

MADISON'S 5TH "PRINCESS BEAUTY PARLOR" BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!

We had Madison's birthday party this weekend and of course she chose to have the "Princess " theme again. We set up the "Princess Beauty Parlor" in our backyard and had some of Madison's favorite babysitters come over and do hair, nails, princess tatoos and a princess castle craft for all of her friends. Madison loved all of her presents and couldn't believe her eyes when she opened up her "Princess" laptop computer from Grandma and Grandpa. We topped the party off with good food, family, a pinata, a Princess Castle Jumper, and loads of fun!

We also put up our Christmas decorations over the weekend. The girls love, love, love to turn on the Christmas lights. They already can't wait for Santa to come!

THANKSGIVING DAY!!!

We had such an amazing Thanksgiving Day with awesome food and family. We spent the day at my parent's new home. It was so much fun. We were so lucky to have Joe's brother Brett come and spend the Holiday with us. Our girls would just devour Brett from the moment he got up in the morning till it was time for bed. Brett, you are such a good sport and loving Uncle! We tried taking a family picture over the weekend for our Christmas cards, but I think we will have to try again. Ashley wasn't in the smiling spirit at the time.

Madison scored 4 soccer goals again!!!

Madison had her last soccer game today. Four must be her lucky number for soccer goals because thats what she scored last week too. After her soccer game we went to the park and had her soccer party. You should have seen Madison's face when her coach handed out the trophies. It was the first time Madison has ever gotten a trophy.

Feeling Sick

Ashley and I both woke up feeling sick with a head cold. I think Ashley has it the worst. She just lied on the couch all morning. Which actually was nice since I feel icky too!

Growing up too fast!!!!!

Usually my kids get up in the morning around 7:30 a.m. and want to eat breakfast right away. This past week I've noticed them getting up, using the bathroom and going back into their rooms to climb in bed and play. This morning 7:30 a.m. came around and I didn't hear anything from the girls' room. I got up to find Madison at the kitchen table already eating a bowl of cereal and drawing. Luckily everything she needed to get her bowl of cereal was at an easy reach. I went to find Ashley and she was laying in bed. I asked her if she was ready to get up and she says, "I was waiting for you to come get me!" Ashley usually gets up whenever Madison does since they share a room.
I thought it was too cute how they acted so grown up this morning and didn't need the help of their parents.

FOUR SOCCER GOALS TODAY!!!

Madison loves to play soccer. She had an amazing game today and scored four goals. Her season ends next week and she is really bummed.

We had a total blast tonight Trick or Treating! The girls, of course chose to be princesses. As you can see from the picture, Ashley is Tinkerbell, and Madison is Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. Joe and I completed the Royal Family as the King and Queen.

Soccer, Soccer, Soccer!!!!

Madison loves to play soccer! She has also made some amazing friends from her team. Each week Madison looks forward to practice and to the game. One week she scored five goals in one game. Now, she gets bummed out if she doesn't score a lot of goals. We keep reminding her that you don't have to score goals every time.
